Name your two teams and print an inning-by-inning scorecard with running totals to 21. Free, no signup.
This sheet gives you one row per inning and two columns per team: points scored that inning and the running total. Type the team names, choose how many innings to print, and the preview updates before you print.
Count each team's points at the end of the inning, cancel them against each other, and write only the difference for the team that came out ahead. Write 0 for the other team, then update both running totals.
Example: Team 1 has one bag in the hole and two on the board (3 + 1 + 1 = 5). Team 2 has one in the hole and one on the board (3 + 1 = 4). Team 1 scores 1 point for that inning and Team 2 scores 0. If both teams score the same, the inning is a wash and both get 0.
These are backyard rules, not official ones, so agree on them before the first bag is thrown:
Regulation boards are 2 feet by 4 feet with a 6-inch hole near the top. In organised play the front edges of the two boards are 27 feet apart; for kids or small yards, many people shorten this. In doubles, one player from each team stands at each board, and the two players at one end throw all their bags before the pair at the other end throws back. In singles, both players throw from the same end and then walk to the other board.
Bag on the board = 1, bag in the hole = 3. Each inning the scores cancel โ only the higher team scores the difference.
First to 21 at the end of an inning. Some backyard games play to exactly 21 and bust back to 15 if you go over. Backyard tournament? Grab a bracket.
